Over the past year and a half, I have been a part of Northland Christian School’s Doing Good Kingdom Campaign Team and recently I accepted the responsibility of Co-Chairing our “Doing Good… for the next generation” campaign to raise funds to build additional classroom space with science labs and music rooms, multipurpose activity space, and a sports complex.

I have a background in science education with a B.S. in Zoology and was the Outreach Education Coordinator at the Kansas City Zoo for many years before starting a family and staying home to focus on our children. I have a love for God’s creation and enjoyed my time at the Zoo. Along with my love of animals and the outdoors, I enjoy the variety of opportunities life has to offer and experiencing them with my family and meeting new people along the way.

This school year, I hit a milestone with all 5 of our kids being in school full time. My husband and I have an 8th grader, a 6th grader, a 4th grader, a 2nd grader and one in kindergarten, and its way more fun to say K - 2 - 4 - 6 - 8. This has given me time to invest in our kids in a new way as Northland Christian has welcomed me in as a parent, giving me the opportunity to support our school, as our school invests in our kids. Co-Chairing the Doing Good Campaign is one way I am able to accomplish that goal. Being involved in our school community has allowed our family to build strong partnerships with teachers and staff to build towards our family’s desire that our kids along with other Northland Christian students will be ready to love God and love people as they walk in obedience and bring God glory.
